Field Service Engineer
Job Title – Service Co-ordinator
Location – Coventry
Salary - £28,000
Hour of Work – Monday to Friday Days (9am to 5pm)
Our client is one of the UK's leading manufactures of sheet metal processing systems. With a large market share and growing customer base, the business is increasing their Service Team from 45 to 50 in the next 6 months.
As part of this expansion, they now need to hire an addition Service Co-ordinator to handle the increased volumes of service jobs. Established for nearly 30 years, the is expecting to increase their turnover by 20% from 2017 to 2018, with headcount expanding by a similar number.
The Service Co-ordinator will be office based, working 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and will be the first point of contact for any for any of our Client’s customer’s who have an issue with their machine.
The Service Co-ordinator will need to talk through breakdown with the customer by phone, to see if the issue can be resolved by their client’s on-site Engineers. If the issue cannot be resolved by phone, then the Service Co-ordinator will need to arrange for a Service Engineer to attend site.
The Service Co-ordinator will have access to Machine Schematics and Electrical Drawings to refer to whilst talking their customer’s through any possible solutions. These would also need to be referred to ascertain what parts would need to be ordered to site in advance of the Service Engineer.
To be successful in your application you must have the following skills or attributes:
- Must have a recognised Engineering Qualification.
- Must have previous experience working as a Service or Maintenance Engineer.
- Must be able to read electrical drawings.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
Ideally our Client would like to see people who have previously been a Service or Maintenance Engineer. The Successful applicant will need to have excellent Customer Service Skills, as well as being a good communicator.
