This superb brand new Sales & Marketing Managers opportunity has been created with this division of a specialist manufacturer due to expansion and company development. The role is an Internally based role covering the Middle East and will be part of a team of Sales Account Managers managing different worldwide geographical areas.

This Division manufactures a range of bespoke valves, instrumentation, fluid handling and engineering solutions for a variety of applications in onshore and offshore markets that include the oil & gas, petrochemical, marine, subsea, pipeline, chemical and power generation markets.

ROLEThe Sales Account Managers role will be involved with managing and developing business in the Middle East with occasional travel in to the Middle East.The role will also involve a the management and development of agents and distributors and create new revenue, generating opportunities from existing and potential oil and gas customers,. The position will also involve dealing with major Engineering Contractors, EPC’s, End Users and Consultants. The successful individual will need to bring sales expertise to the business and be able to business plan, put together proposals, use commercial awareness to asses where to put the effort in, plan sales strategies etc. The role will also involve a fair amount of initial team working and motivation with the existing sales engineers.

The role will involve a lot of project work where projects will vary from £10 to £300K It will be vital maintain and drive regional activity from OEM’s, Operators and projects. You will be required to maintain and drive a list of focused projects, AVL’s and work closely with distributors on developing sales within the region

·Oversee the relationships of the company with its most important clients.

·You will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining long-term key customers by comprehending their requirements.

·You will be able to identify the technical needs and requirements to promote our company’s

·solutions and achieve mutual satisfaction.

·Develop, follow-up and close business opportunities.

·Meet or exceed the revenue targets for the region

·Pay periodical visit to customers to enhance and maintain good relations and drive sales


·Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and technical requirements

·Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives

·Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams

·Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust

·Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships

·Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics

REQUIREMENTS·Background in business, engineering, marketing, technical field or equivalent work in role experience and ideally experience in dealing with international clients.

·3 to 5 years of successful related sales experience in selling mechanical products through a distribution channel and OEMS preferred. They could look at an experienced individual or a developing Sales person

·Ability to work effectively with a variety of end-users

·Ability to effectively manage the “Oil and Gas” distribution channel

·Capability to use Microsoft Office products, computers effectively

·Experience in the oil & gas, petrochemical, marine, subsea, pipeline, chemical or power generation industry

·Any dealings with Contractors, EPC’s, Consultants and End Users would be useful

·Experience in sales and providing solutions based on customer needs

·Effective written, oral and presentation communication skills

·Ability to formulate and write proposals, prepare and delivery customer tenders.

·Evidence of mechanical aptitude

·Ability to work successfully without close supervision

·Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with

·professionals of all organizational levels

·Excellent organisational skills

·Ability in problem solving and negotiation on all levels


Knowledge of Valves, Controls, Instrumentation, Piping would obviously be beneficial, but are clients are open on candidates who come from associated engineering or technical backgrounds.
