The Company

Our client is a well-established, niche and high end manufacturing organization with a global presence with their UK operations based on the outskirts of Bradford on the M62 corridor.

Due to a new joint venture and an internal promotion are recruiting for a high calibre Management Accountant to join the team, offering a fast tracked succession plan to Financial Controller within 6-12 months.

The Role

Reporting into the Finance Director, as a Management Accountant you will already have experienced a management or financial accounting background and want to pursue a more commercial career direction, the role being largely focused on costings and inventory. The role is to analyse and report on the companies costings and margins in order to best reflect the real value to the business.

As Commercial Management Accountant you would provide the business with data and analysis to enable the Senior Management team to make strategic business decisions based on current store and business performance, therefore the role is heavily weighted towards liaising with Project Managers, Purchasing, Engineers, Sales Representatives etc in order to retrieve the information you need.

Additional duties include the month end routine, preparation of annual budgets, gross margin forecasting, variance reports, SAP Inventory reports, reporting on monthly KPI's and maintaining the fixed asset register.

The ideal candidate for this role would be:

  • CIMA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience
  • Be looking to step into a Financial Controller role within 6-12 months
  • Strong on Excel to an intermediate/advanced level
  • Have experience of an ERP system (SAP experience advantageous)
  • Be organised with a key attention to detail
  • Have the initiative and confidence to liaise across departments

As this role will be very visible within the business, it is essential that you have excellent communication skills as you may well present data and recommendations to the senior team.

Salary & Benefits

  • £40,000 - £45,000 plus benefits
