Our Nationwide Accident Repair Centre site in Birmingham (formerly Royal Sun Alliance) is now hiring a Master Technician to join the team. This is a top performing site for the Nationwide group with modern equipment, a good atmosphere and friendly staff. The job of Vehicle Mechanic - Master Technician

As part of a team of around forty Productive staff you will undertake the mechanical and electrical repair of damaged vehicles in accordance with the correct repair methodology as well as accurately recording work completed on each vehicle. It is also the role of the Master Technician to identify additional repair work not defined on original job card and to liaise with the estimator and workshop controller to ensure such work is completed and recorded. You will also observe and adhere to health and safety and housekeeping standards so as to ensure a safe working environment.



You will report into Michael the General Manager who has been at Nationwide for two years. He is passionate about Customers and his team and is absolutely determined to make his bodyshop the best in group. It’s an amazing team! Michael has 17 years experience as a body shop manager after beginning his career as a Mechanic.

What we think good looks like

As a Vehicle Mechanic we would like you to have an interest and passion in what we do. With a professional appearance we would also appreciate it if you had your own stocked toolbox, excellent job knowledge and be highly motivated. Naturally, due to the nature of the job you will need to have a full UK/EU Driving Licence and the relevant qualifications for the job: NVQ Level 1, 2 & 3 qualification or be a time served Master Technician with Main Dealership Training. You will also need experience in a body shop or accident repair environment. We will help and support you with the rest
