Project Engineer

Location Rochdale, Lancashire

We are a large OEM manufacturer of Industrial equipment and are looking for an experienced and dynamic Project Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from a concept through to commissioning.

As Project Engineer you will be involved in the engineering and modification of the Company’s products and equipment to meet customer requirements. You will use your mechanical engineering and design knowledge to produce component and assembly drawings using Solidworks for use in manufacture, assembly and site installation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Convert sales order paperwork into a manufacturing & engineering job pack in line with

    company procedures.

  • Produce general assembly and detailed fabrication drawings using SolidWORKS.

  • Detailed bills of materials for manufacture within company ERP system.

  • Point of contact for both internal and external customer regarding drawing approval,

    delivery schedules, technical queries and customer issues.

  • Management of some installation & turnkey projects

  • Support sales department with customer enquires producing sales drawings and technical

    solutions

  • Qualifications / Work Experience

  • HNC or higher in an engineering subject

  • Work experience in supply and installation of machinery and/ or sheetmetal fabrication

  • Skill Requirements

  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively.

  • Excellent communication and presentational skills essential involving both internal &

    external customers.

  • 3D CAD assembly and sheet metal fabrication drawing. SolidWORKS preferred.

  • They should be competent working with MRP/ BOMS.

  • Demonstrable technical expertise with applicable hardware and software to include MS

    office products.

  • Electrical wiring, pneumatics, process instrumentation & control, CE & ATEX regulations

    would be beneficial.

  • Full training will be provided in technical aspects of our product portfolio.

  • Salary – Negotiable and competitive dependent upon experience.

    Holidays – 33 days inclusive of Bank Holidays
