Manpower is partnering with an innovative renewable energy equipment manufacturer as they look to find their next Lead Research Engineer. Integral to the continued development of cutting-edge products, the Lead Research Engineer will be based out of their Northumberland production site.

The business has established themselves at the forefront of renewable energy technologies, and their R&D function has played a key role in this. Overseeing a team of 2, as Lead Research Engineer you will ensure that the company continues to consolidate this position.

Key responsibilities in this role will include:
*Lead key R&D projects related to turbine blades (such as materials, energy efficiency etc.)
*Delivering the R&D strategy in line with the business' short and long term goals (such as generating public funding)
*Prioritising and oversee the delivery of a range of projects
*Providing first-line management to the team of R&D Engineers
*Articulating the businesses' offering and initiatives in the area of renewable energy equipment design and tests (this includes the benefits and savings to sponsors, developers and finance)
*Working closely with commercial teams to present projects to a range of key stakeholders

*Degree educated within a relevant technical discipline
*Experience of working within the blade or composite materials industry (or similar relevant)
*Proven track record in R&D leadership within a relatable industry
*The ability to rollout and manage an R&D strategy from initial conceptions/proposals to delivery
*Commercially-minded with the ability to present technical information to a wide range of people
*Experience in design review/due diligence
*Highly organised with strong project management skills
