Senior Marine Technician – Marchwood – Full Time – Permanent – £18,168 – 22,811 pa

Are you an effective technician with experience of working in a marine environment?

Do you have experience in PAT testing and servicing marine equipment and applications?

Are you experienced in leading a team of technicians, and offering guidance and mentoring when needed?

If so, we are looking for a Senior Technician reporting to the Head of Construction and Marine in Marchwood. We are looking for a good-humoured, energetic and enthusiastic individual who is able to handle pressure and a range of demands. You will be leading a team of technicians and be responsible for maintenance and upkeep of the Marchwood site. You will be responsible for liaising with Estates team and external contractors to oversee maintenance and servicing of the sites infrastructure. About Us

We are a high-achieving college who attract around 3,000 sixth form students across the region each year. We are based within the stunning New Forest National Park and offer our students a huge range of courses and superb facilities.

The Role

You will be responsible for preparing, setting up, clearing away, washing up where applicable and storing equipment and materials for lessons. You will be assisting students in areas of marine engineering, marine electrical, boatbuilding and composites, and assist staff and students in the use of apparatus and equipment. Undertake regular safety checks on equipment and tools, and undertake a schedule of planned maintenance for all marine equipment including PAT testing and servicing to manufacturers schedules.
