Detailed Infrastructure Design Director
Location: Birmingham

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and ambitious Director with extensive experience in the detailed design of highways, drainage (including preparing flood risk assessments), and utilities, to lead, manage and grow the Infrastructure Design business across the UK. Ideally located in Birmingham, and must be willing to regularly travel between the UK offices.

This business is in a stronger position than ever in terms of growth and as a result, are looking for the very best talent to work on their projects and grow the business further. Phenomenal success over the past few years has been achieved and remains on target to continue.

You must be capable of delivering technical excellence, meeting client expectations, managing profitability of the operation, maximising staff productivity, and developing staff through mentoring and training.

You should have:
* Extensive experience of managing projects/resources
* Operational experience with responsibility for profit and loss
* Full understanding of health and safety legalisation within our field of business

Skills / Experience
* Full knowledge and hands-on experience in the detailed design of highways, drainage and utilities
* Extensive experience of working with private sector developers and their consultancy and contracting teams
* Programme management capabilities
* Commercially astute
* Negotiation of supply chain contracts

Additional Requirements
* Strong leader
* Able to motivate and guide junior staff
* Excellent communication skills
* Proactive and problem solving skills
* Numerical skills
* IT literate - CAD, Microdrainage etc. and ideally Revit or similar

* UK Civil Engineering Degree or similar
* Chartered Civil Engineer & Member of the ICE
* Recognised project management qualification desirable
