Our large blue chip Telford based clients are looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a Continental Shift pattern to complement their existing team. Salary is circa £32,000 plus £6244 shift allowance, per annum.

•To work as a lead maintenance engineer with full range of mechanical and electrical skills and ability to fix majority of issues on equipment with computer, PLC, building management system and robotic control systems.
•To utilise experience to act as lead resource, developing maintenance engineers to improve the provision of planned preventative, routine and emergency maintenance for all plant and equipment services to support the business needs.
•To carry out mechanical / electrical installations in accordance with relevant regulations.
•To provide out of hours maintenance support as required.

Brief Description

•To resolve reactive, planned, preventative and emergency maintenance requests submitted into computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) to minimise downtime as required. Ensure any learning points are captured, trained out to colleagues or operators and where appropriate preventative planned work is documented and instigated as a result of that learning.
•To lead installation work to the required standard. Supporting production equipment adjustments including supplies and services to work equipment.
•Update CMMS asset history by completion of Works Order information and spares / repair requirements.
•Undertake H&S activities such as full and rapid risk assessments of tasks and occasional working under permit to work.
•Actively contribute to company CI activities including the companies Production System, Kaizen, 5S standards in all areas and ensure all work is compliant with H&S standards and risk assessments.

Hours of Work

•Continental Shifts working a lifestyle balance pattern 2 shifts on following by 2 shifts off, 3 shifts on followed by 2 shifts off, 2 shifts on followed by 3 shifts off alternating from days to nights.
•An average of 40.71 hours per week.
•A shift pattern is available by request.

•ONC in Engineering. (Electrical, Mechanical)
•City & Guilds 2800 Level 3 or Equivalent. (Maintenance Engineering)
•City & Guilds 2382 IEE 17th Edition Wiring Regulations.
•Recognised apprenticeship to NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
•Proven experience of fault finding and repair on PLC's, electrical, robotic, pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.
•A proven ability working as a highly performing multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer in a high volume automated manufacturing environment.
•Computer literate.
•Supervisory experience is preferred to provide support in Shift Leader's absence.
