Apprentice Jewellery Engineer – Hockley Birmingham

Based in Birmingham’s famous Jewellery Quarter, this company manufactures an unrivalled collection of wedding rings, engagement rings, cast components, findings and precision engineered jewellery parts

As an apprentice you will be learning all aspects of turning and CNC machining working to tight tolerances, interpreting drawings and moulds, and working to an extremely high quality so attention to detail is very important. You will be working with high quality metals so the need to get it right first time is very important to eliminate waste that could be very costly to the company. The company are looking for an apprentice who is willing to learn, has a mature attitude, has a good eye for detail and who enjoys working practically.

You will be required to attend the academy for training in your BTEC Level 1 Certificate in Engineering. 6 weeks (2 days a week).This will also include a 2 day industry work placement.

The Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Performing Engineering Operations is delivered at LEMA Engineering & Manufacturing Academy. You will be in training for one day a week and four days a week at your trainee Engineering Apprenticeship placement for the first 23 weeks of your 12 month Apprenticeship.


For the trainee Engineering Apprentice:
You will require 5 GCSE's Grade A-C including Maths and English.
You will have to be aged 16 – 18 years old.
You have an interest in engineering.
