Project and Systems Support Administrator – Gwynedd – The job in brief

The job in brief is to join a leading environmental organisation on a permanent part time basis. Our client offers the chance to work for a facility dedicated to research and development within their field. With multiple project managers specialising in specific scientific, environmental or geographical areas, the successful candidate will support administration and financial aspects of the projects, facility requirements, and other ad hoc requirements. Experience of having worked in an educational or research facility would be advantageous for this role.

Project and Systems Support Administrator – Gwynedd – What will I be doing?

  • Work with research project managers and the finance team
  • Assist Project Managers to create, amend and maintain accurate project budgets and staffing requirements on the facility’s resource management system
  • Assist the support accountant with regular project reviews and updates
  • Provide guidance and assistance to extended staff on project related systems
  • Provide information, support and/or reporting to Project Managers and Group Leaders
  • Provide financial information to the support accountant
  • Liaise with researchers to assist with more complex and time critical procurement of equipment and consumables and monitor receipting of sub-contract purchase orders
Project and Systems Support Administrator – Gwynedd – What skills do I need to have?

  • Exceptional working knowledge of Microsoft Excel including ability to develop spreadsheets from scratch
  • Experience of working with budgets/finances
  • Keen attention to detail which can be evidenced
  • Excellent team working skills
  • Demonstrable written and verbal communications skills, including ability to communicate financial information to non-finance professionals
  • Proven ability to manage priorities to meet agreed task deadlines including ability to manage own workload
  • Minimum GCSE/O level (grades A- C) in Mathematics and English Language

Contract type: Permanent vacancy

Location: Bangor, Gwynedd

Hours: Part time, 18.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Salary: £22,200 per annum, pro rata
