My Client based in the West Midlands is looking for an Income officer to join their thriving team for a temporary on-going post to start immediately. My client is a well established housing provider looking for an experienced housing specialist, particularly specialising in rent/income related duties.

The duties will include:

- Be responsible for delivering income collection services to customers within a specific geographical area ('patch') working positively to sustain tenancies whilst maximising the collection of rent to meet business plan targets.

- Take action to recover debt, including Court action.
- Work closely with the Customer Service Centre to manage arrears cases effectively.

- Provide support to help tenants sustain a long term culture of payment.
- Deliver excellent services to customers and work to achieve performance targets and high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Deliver and demonstrate the vision and values of the organisation.

- Proactively monitor arrears cases, taking appropriate and timely collection, advice and, if necessary enforcement action in accordance with policy and procedures. Use the IT systems to support case management and record action taken, critical to the role is the ability to maximise collection whilst minimising tenancy failure due to debt.

- Manage all rent and other debts on your 'patch' and work closely with the Customer Service Centre to ensure the delivery of a seamless service and high collection rates, maintain responsibility and accountability for the overall management of individual cases at all times.

- Provide support for residents with specific needs to enable them to sustain their tenancies, including referrals to money advice and specialist agencies etc.

- Maximise the collection of any former tenant debt including passing good quality information is passed to tracing and collection agencies.

This role is initially for 3 months with a view to extend. Hours per week will be 37.
