£12.41 - £16.39 per hour DOE

Manpower is currently recruiting for a capable Cost Analyst to join our client SSE - the second biggest energy provider in the UK. This position will start in the New Year and is initially a 3 month contract which could lead to future opportunities with the company. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company with plans for expansion moving into 2018.
In this position you will be responsible for commercial management of jobs, focusing on job closures and issuing refunds. You will deliver exceptional financial control of projects with proactive communication.

Key Responsibilities:
*Provide fantastic customer service to internal customers (procurement, contracting, supply chain etc.) to identify & implement actions to improve financial results.
*Coordinate allocated costs on company databases to ensure quoted costs can be cross-referenced. Ensure actual costs are accounted for before financial close.
*Review allowable margin for jobs and calculate refund required to the customer. Work with finance team to ensure 100% approval of refunds.
*Support the development of relationships with main suppliers and liaise with points of contact on projects.
*Ensure (legal, financial, risk, quality) compliance is met with all internal controls.

Key Skills:

*Good knowledge of Harmony finance system desirable
*An understanding of financial implications on jobs and the procurement process
*Ability to work with complex spreadsheets to cross reference (forecast and actual)
*Knowledge of cost forecasting and financial close down process
*Excellent organisation and planning skills, ability to work to deadlines and dealing with changing priorities
