Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join their team based in Eastleigh. You will be there 37 hours a week for 9 months (possibility to become permanent but not guaranteed) and be paid a competitive salary of £40,000.00 - £45,000.00 per annum.

About the Financial Accountant role
Reporting to the Financial Controller (Reporting), this 37 hour per week, nine month maternity cover requires a qualified Accountant to work with the Finance team to provide statutory financial reporting and management accounting services to the group and its subsidiaries. This will include preparation of financial statements, coordination of taxation matters and various ad hoc matters.
They are looking for someone who is a real all rounder with the ability to work on a number of projects simultaneously and manage these timely and efficiently, alongside monthly reporting duties. You will work with a number of different teams across the company, so a personable approach and the ability to build good working relationships will be key. You will need to be equally comfortable working on your own and as part of the team.
The role focusses heavily on their accounting system, Open Accounts. Knowledge of this particular system is not essential, but experience operating on a variety of systems (Sage, SAP etc) is required.
The successful Financial Accountant will need to be post qualified (ACA/ACCA) with relevant subsequent experience or qualified by experience. Additionally they are also looking for someone who has worked within the housing sector.
