Job Description

Our Client, a leading clothing importer to major retailers, is looking to recruit a Management/Financial Accountant to head up their finance team. This is very much a hands on role reporting to the Managing Director to provide the company with first class financial support to continue the success and expansion of their business

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Production of monthly management accounts- Profit and Loss/Balance Sheets
  • Monthly journals
  • Accruals/Prepayments
  • Depreciation/Fixed Assets
  • Stock Reconciliation
  • Bank Reconciliation
  • Cash Flow
  • Budgets for different aspects of the business such as sales, full P&L for the banks/internal use etc
  • Foreign Currency
  • Letters of Credit Knowledge
  • Payments and Agents Commissions
  • Oversee credit control and other account related activities
  • Pegasus Systems preferred together with Advanced Excel
  • Payroll
  • VAT Returns
  • EC Sales Returns
  • Weekly/Monthly Reports for Director
  • A good all round understanding of Company workings
  • HR experience would be an advantage
  • Must be extremely organised and accurate in their work
  • Strong prioritisation skills, people management skills together with exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
