The company are an extremely well established organisation based in Central Bristol .
The job holder will be required to implement the claims strategy and proactively manage a claims workload. They will make timely decisions to settle claims for customers in a fair and reasonable way. They will receive all the necessary support and guidance to manage claims to the benefit of the customer and the Company. They will be expected to be customer focused and take responsibility for identifying and actively participating in their personal development plans.
To implement Claims processes and working practices. To manage the customer experience throughout the claim lifecycle in an efficient and cost-effective way. To consistently maintain high levels of service delivery and customer engagement. To proactively contribute to ensure personal, team and department KPIs and SLAs are met.
Receiving a claim – understand and demonstrate the inputting and allocation of claims; the legal advice referral process and how to prioritise claims. Have an awareness of the specific process for staff claims. Assessing a claim – with training you will be able to demonstrate an understanding of: policy checking; our products; the claim and communicating any decisions around it; excess and policy contributions; alternative solutions; bagatelles; ex gratias and the validation process for non-LEI scenarios. Appointing a litigator – demonstrate an understanding of the Working Together document and its key principles; freedom of choice; the benefits of preferred firms and how the different handling models operate; when it is appropriate to use recommended litigators and non-panel solicitors;
Ideally you will either be an experience claims handler or legal graduate who has an understanding of policy workings. You will demonstrate excellent customer service, deliver high quality work and have a desire to improve and take ownership of your personal development.

The Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm, 35 hours per week
The Location: Central Bristol, no car parking.
