EC&I Technician

Based in Dewsbury

£25,000 - £30,000 depending on experience + benefits

Perpetual Engineering are proud to work as the recruitment partner to a global market leader in their field. Due to large on-going projects and growth in their market presence our partner are currently recruiting for the services of an experienced EC&I Technician to work alongside a highly skilled, multi-disciplined shop floor team.

The Role

As an EC&I Technician you will be expected to take a proactive approach to Electrical build, installation, maintenance and repair of a wide range of machinery and equipment within the manufacturing department. On a daily basis you will be you will be expected to part in the build of control panels electrical installations, PLC fault finding, site wiring and factory acceptance testng. Reporting directly to the Workshop supervisor you will liaise with all levels of Maintenance Engineers, Process Operators and Service Engineers to ensure the smooth delivery of projects to tight time scales.


To pre-wire & test equipment as described on Work Instruction Sheets, required to meet production schedules both for on-site and off-site installations.

To perform, in a safe and efficient manner, good housekeeping practices as per company H.S.E. procedures.

To follow procedures and conform to ISO 9001 as relevant.

To undertake on-site installation duties as required, in compliance with the individual site working practices and safety requirements.

To complete contracts on time as required by client and instructions from your Manager.

Compile Work Instruction sheets and associated documentation.

Ensure I Control procedures are adhered to and accurate booking of hours.

Test equipment as required and stated in the FAT/SAT documents and IQ/OQ.


Machine Wiring Experience

Electrical assembly and installation experience OEM Equipment

Instrument Operation Pneumatics


Latest electrical standards - 17th Edition Electrical Engineering experience

Site Work - Working with Clients/Customers

Experience in mechanical assembly of OEM Equipment

Software/PLC experience

Experience in ATEX
