A Leading construction business are looking for career minded, dynamic Accounts Payable Specialists to join their growing finance team based in Manchester city centre. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for the timely and accurate resolution of vendor and internal customer queries through proactive invoice management
  • Manage invoice related supplier issues through to resolution, escalating if and when required
  • Partner with and deliver great customer service to key stakeholders (vendors, reporting units, group procurement, wider FSSC)
  • Ensure supplier statements are reconciled on a regular basis as per the agreed schedule and any queries are dealt with/escalated promptly
  • Pro-actively manage blockages in respect to invoice approval and good receipting engaging with approvers and receiptors to ensure they action promptly
  • Work with vendors/internal customers to manage quantity and price variances
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement - drive process improvements that will deliver efficiencies, strengthen internal controls, improve working capital and enhance customer service
  • Ensure that all transactions conform with statutory, fiscal and corporate legislation requirements including CIS regulations

You will Have:

  • Strong working experience with Accounts Payable and good end to end knowledge of processes
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
  • Basic knowledge of principles, practices, regulations and procedures relating to Accounts Payable function and Shared Service organisations will be an advantage
  • Excellent customer service skillset, going above and beyond the call of duty where necessary
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • High level of inputting accuracy
  • Great communication skills
  • Able to break down processes into their constituent parts, identify problems and suggest solutions
