An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer in Windsor. The Project Engineer role is for a fantastic, industry leading company that specialises in the production of synthetic diamonds and super-materials. The synthetic diamond industry is becoming an integral element across various industries and markets, playing a vital role in the production of the next generation automotive engines, to powering high speed digital telecommunications equipment.
The Project Engineer role involves providing specialist commissioning and engineering for new CVD systems and associated services, project scheduling and supplier management to ensure deadlines are met, forming part of the Projects Delivery team and initially covering an equipment expansion program. Duties and task that would be expected of you include:
*Project management and planning
*Compilation of commissioning and handover documentation
*Updating technical manuals
*Verification of all equipment safety function, calibrations and specification performance before release to operations
*Ensure safety planning is in place
*Control contract workers
*Manage cost of project to within budget targets
*Become deeply knowledgeable in all specialist systems, stimulated by self-learning and training as required.
This role is ideal for an individual with a passion for learning who can easily absorb new knowledge and enjoys expanding their understanding of complex systems. Certain skills are desired for the Project Engineer role including:
*Engineering based qualifications or an Electrical engineering background
*Programming and fault-finding experience with Siemens PLC Step7 and TIA Portal (S7-300, S7-1500, HMI OP370, KP1500)
*Well informed in the following areas: - PLC, RF power supplies, vacuum, process cooling, high purity gas systems, and other general control systems.
*Equipment calibration, vacuum helium leak checking, pressure testing.
*Project and priority planning.
*Previous experience with CVD reactors is a distinct advantage; experience of the commissioning of other plasma based deposition equipment is required
