Upholsterer / Upholstery Technician / Furniture Technician - Doncaster - Up to £30,000 Basic - (Includes Shift allowance) Bonus and Overtime (Working Shifts, must be flexible) Upholsterer: My client is currently recruiting for an experienced Upholsterer / Upholstery Technician / Furniture Technician to join their warehouse workshop near Doncaster. The focus of this role will be to repair Upholstery & Wood based furniture items such as Sofas, Chairs, Recliners and Cabinets that may have a manufacturing faults or that has been damaged in transit. You will be required to perform quality inspections of all items and write detailed reports.

The successful Upholsterer / Upholstery Technician / Furniture Technician will receive an attractive rate of pay, overtime, and bonuses. The appointed Upholsterer / Upholstery Technician / Furniture Technician will be required to work 2 different shift patterns on rotation which will be 6am to 2pm or 2pm to 10am 5 days out of 7 and will receive a late shift allowance on top of their basic salary + bonuses.

We ideally want to hear from experienced Furniture Technicians or Cabinet Makers with upholstery, wood repair or cabinet repair experience including wood finishing.

  • To inspect and repair as necessary furniture items in the workshop
  • To produce written reports for company and client
  • Undertake other reasonable activities as required which may include some local travel
  • We are looking for candidates with:

  • Significant experience gained in a domestic upholstery, wood furniture production and / or restoration
  • Extensive relevant workplace experience
  • Strong organisation skills; proactive and methodical
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work using own initiative and with others
