The role

As a Junior Control Systems Engineer based from our Peterborough office you will initially be working on a large project for one of our key clients. Working in our clients nearby offices you will be trained to configure and support their SCADA application. With our client in the water industry you will be involved in the SCADA configuration, implementation and testing while providing remote support of the installation teams during the commissioning of instrumentation and telemetry outstations.

With Adsyst managing and developing large and complex projects within the automation industry, your development will progress to be involved in the full development lifecycle incorporating software design, implementation, testing and undertaking of on-site commissioning where necessary.

Desirable Qualifications / Experience / Knowledge

  • Degree or HNC/HND qualified in an applicable engineering/scientific discipline or equivalent
  • Knowledge of PLC’s along with SCADA would be ideal, however appropriate training will be provided where required
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Self-motivated and ambitious with a real interest in driving your career forward
  • Ideally has full UK driving licence and own car
  • Security clearance

    This role will be working in a secure environment and will have access to sensitive client information, the candidate will need to carry out security clearance to CTC level. Due to this all applicants must have resided in the UK for a minimum of 3 years.
