My financial services client based just outside of Reading are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to compliment the existing team.

Responsibilities as a Senior Financial Accountant

As member of the Finance team you will be responsible for producing and distributing various reports on a weekly and monthly basis. The Senior Financial Accountant role is a stand-alone role and you will report into the Financial Controller with a dotted line into the CFO.

  • Preparation of all accounting material including non-statutory/interim and financial accounts.
  • Reporting and all forecasting
  • Preparation of Tax computations
  • Exposure and understanding of VAT
  • M&A exposure
  • Internal stakeholder management
  • Ad-hoc requests

Skills and Experience for the Senior Financial Accountant

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel is essential
  • Qualified technical Accountant
  • Must have worked in a PLC environment
  • Degree educated with a minimum of 2:1 in a numerate discipline
  • Experience in management and financial accounting, financial planning, financial analysis and reporting
  • Outstanding analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Other MS Office programmes to Intermediate level
  • Excellent problem solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills and team player
  • Experience within a similar level role
