This is an exciting opportunity to join an international company as Graduate Applications Engineer working with customers from the aerospace industry!

This opportunity not only offers a competitive salary of £32,000 - £36,000 but also offers flexi time! The total working hours per week are 37.5hrs, these can be made up however you choose as long as you are present for the key working hours as follows:
Monday - Thursday 9am - 4pm
Friday 9am - 12noon

As Graduate Applications Engineer, your key responsibilities include:

Giving technical advice and recommendations regarding the specific customer application, often involving visits to/by customers, normally with, but on occasion without, Key Account Managers present.Providing necessary information to suppliers via established questionnaires, to ensure the correct solution is specified.Providing the KAMs with the necessary support to help achieve their targets by efficient communication with the customer and the sales teams.Providing internal customer service and quality personnel with support on technical aspects of the product range.Utilising the Consensus of Design recommendations and assisting to generate new and updated COD’s for specific products in the Aerospace segment on behalf of the lead group.Initiating and coordinating additional activities such as testing and FEA in support of customer needs.Producing CAD drawings when necessary to support technical proposals.Manage both Internal and customer drawings and technical documents and storage using Teamcenter.Develop and deliver technical presentations.Candidate profile

Possessing a high level of technical awareness, particularly with regard to mechanical engineering and hydraulic systems (Aerospace systems experience beneficial)Minimum of BEng Degree in Mechanical Engineering.Previous work experience in engineering related roles beneficial.Knowledge of rubber/plastic products, seals or bearings beneficial.Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage projects with attention to detail and accuracy.Strong customer focus.Ability to work independently as well as in a team.Operational knowledge of latest CAD systems.
