Group Financial Accountant - £45,000 - £55,000 - Thame - Manufacturing - ACA/ACCA - Statutory & Audit

Your new company
A newly created Group Financial Accountant opportunity for a Manufacturing business based on the outskirts of Aylesbury. This role sits in a business that has both the UK & group head office operating in Thame. You will work within the group setup which will see you report to the Group Finance Manager. The business is growing at an extraordinary rate and they are keen to bring the right people that will support them moving on to the next level. This will involve assisting with the acquisition of business and the interrogation of the accounting procedures

Your new role
As the Group Financial Accountant, you will have responsibility for the integrity of the group financial numbers and reporting. This will see you performing monthly consolidations and managing the journal entries for the groups holding companies. You will also have contributions to the month end management information pack that is presented to the companies shareholders. You will have full responsibility for managing the group cashflow forecasting and cash position and undertake FX Hedging and related Treasury Activities.

You will also contribute to the strategic planning of the business and consolidating the group 3 year budget plan. Along with this you you will monitor the group capex budget and manage the process of acquisition accounting for new acquired subsidiaries, including preparation of the Opening Balance Sheet, and managing debt repayments.

You will be a central part of year end as you will be responsible to the preparation of the statutory accounts. You will also have a lead in co-coordinating the group audit and work with the external auditors to ensure all is run smoothly.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you must be an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant. You will have up to date knowledge of UK GAAP and experience in reviewing or preparing the statutory accounts. As they have just implemented a new accounting system, ability to create and produce new reports is key.
