We are looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join the Braemar Estates Credit Control team based in Hale, Cheshire.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the collection of debts from customers in as timely a manner. Additionally you will responsible for ensuring the maintenance of and the accuracy and integrity of all relevant accounting records. Key duties will include:

  • Recovering outstanding leaseholder debt and following arrears process including sending reminder letters via post and email
  • Management of posting customer receipts and invoices onto Propman system and ensuring prompt and accurate information is maintained at all times
  • Liaising with leaseholders in relation to on account queries and disputes and maintaining relevant records for approved payment plans and refunds
  • Producing copy documents to leaseholders including demands, statements as required
  • Instruct aged debtors to third party agents/solicitors on behalf of our clients
  • Supporting the Property Managers through the debt collection process including managing monthly review meetings for client accounts
  • Liaise with the purchase ledger team monthly assisting in management of cash flow
  • Maintenance of appropriate records, both manual and electronic
  • Assisting all other functions of the division as required

Skills and Experience

  • In depth knowledge of credit control and related legal process and procedures.
  • Understanding of residential leases and tenant rights
  • Proven track record of credit control experience within a property environment
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • A sound understanding of accounting principles
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff/clients/leaseholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong proof reading and numeracy skills

This is a permanent position.

Hours of work: Full Time - Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 5.30pm

Location: Hale, Cheshire

Salary: £23,000 per annum
