A great opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer from a mechanical background, looking for a day-based role maintaining forge, power press, production equipment working for a well-established company that provides job stability and on the job training.

·Carry out emergency maintenance & preventative maintenance on forge hammers, power presses, production machinery & all other plant and equipment when required.
·General building and infrastructure maintenance and repairs.
·Update maintenance records and documentation, plant operating manuals.
·Assist with the day to day maintenance and repair of plant and equipment to ensure the smooth running of production.
·Carry out inspection of plant and equipment as required to meet internal safety, environmental and legislative standards.
·Help to identify preventative maintenance requirements and develop the maintenance schedule to include improvements & modifications.
·Adhere to and champion Business Operating System Work Instructions (incl. Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality).
·Work alongside sub-contractors where appropriate to ensure compliance with agreed standards and specifications.
·Ensure the premises are fully secured and the mains power isolated before leaving of an evening.
·Dealing with potentially environmental hazardous spillages (member of enviro team).
·Assist with any 5C activities as deemed appropriate.
·Conduct Health & Safety and Environmental inventories as required.
·Maintain stock of spare parts.
·Well organised (able to manage own workload).
·Able to cope with responsibilities & associated production pressure.
·Educated in a suitable engineering discipline.
·Able to demonstrate problem solving ability’s.
·Able to use Microsoft office applications when required.
·A tidy and organised approach to work.
·Prepared & competent to work safely at height using ladders and access equipment.
·Flexible approach to working hours, prepared to work overtime at short notice when required.
·Able to use hand and power tools along with flame cutting and welding equipment.
Pay: £27 – 32,000k (£13.50 -15.50 per hour)
