An Account Manager / Programme Manager is required at a well-known manufacturer of precision machined components, sheet metal fabrications and assemblies for aerospace and rolling stock based in Nottinghamshire.

This role has come up due to production demand in the business and therefore the company are looking for someone experienced in their industry of aerospace or automotive. You will need to use your existing skills in one of these industries to hit the ground running and support both the sales and production functions.

The Business Account Manager / Programme Manager will work closely with the Operations Director to achieve and manage sales input on existing business. Other responsibilities will include;

* Working with production to help to plan activity and adhere to set timescales
* Servicing the needs of existing customer accounts by resolving any customer issues or queries
* Introduce sales co-ordinators to support the production team with customer liaison
* Maintain and adhere to existing planning procedures, using the companies MRP system
* Manage and control the process of sales enquiries by working closely with the Sales Director
* Control of inventory and promoting flow of materials through a manufacturing process
* Tasked with reducing lead times in line with business targets
* Communicate any issues to the customer in a timely manner
* Present information to customers face to face

This is an integral role for the business, which will be based in the office with little need to travel unless a customer specifically requests a meeting. To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate the following;

* Experience of a similar role in the Aerospace or Automotive industry
* Experience of working closely with production planning
* Strong customer service and commercial experience in order to confidently manage customer expectations
* Strong technical background to ensure understanding of customer issues or production issues
* Excellent customer relationship building skills
