Early Years Home Learning Improvements and Standards Worker

The Best Start Early Learning Collaboration is led by Crosfield Nursery School and Children’s Centre and is working to provide pedagogical leadership and support from within the early years community including private, voluntary and independent providers (PVIs), childminders and school settings.

The Early Years Home Learning Improvements and Standards Worker is an exciting new role responsible for the delivery and development of focused engagement with home-based learning practitioners. This will include enabling reflective provision and helping providers, including childminders, ensure all young children receive appropriate pedagogical experiences.

This role will work alongside providers in Children’s Centres and Learning Communities, focussing on ensuring all settings are inclusive and children with additional needs have appropriate support to enable them to access learning.

The successful candidate will be:

*An outstanding early years practitioner with the ability to promote effective early years pedagogy and improve quality

*Passionate about early years education and able to motivate and inspire others

*Able to demonstrate commitment to partnership working and effective relationship building with colleagues from a range of professional backgrounds

*Hard working and enthusiastic with the capacity to grow and develop in the role

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check is required.

This post is offered initially on a fixed term contract until 31st May 2018. It is full time, all year round. Future extensions are subject to Croydon Council commissioning arrangements within the commitment to Best Start.

The post commences on 19th February 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter.
