I am working with one of the Rail Industries leading Main Contractors, who as usual possess a strong project portfolio going into 2018.

They are seeking ambitious Site Engineers to join their team on Electrification projects across London and the South East. In particular a Section Engineer with 1 - 3 years experience at this level is required to work on a large rail electrification framework in London.

You will report into the Sub-Agent and supervise the site engineering team from construction to close out. At the front end of the project you will assist with temporary works design schemes.

Throughout the projects you be liaising with the Sub-Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant, materials and temporary works to carry out activities to the required standards, programme and budget.

The supervisory element of the role involves managing the site setting-out team and be responsible for the performance and development of the Site Engineers. The team should have all current information and resources required to carry out their duties, ensuring production of site records and daily Site Diaries.

You will be responsible for identifying and resolving technical problems on site in liaison with the Sub-Agent. This opportunity will allow you to assist with co-ordination of construction operations, ensuring they conform to the specified requirements and the standards of safety and quality. This will include co-ordinating and monitoring subcontractors in the performance of their works to ensure they are completed to the contractual requirements and to company Construction SHEQ standards.

You will also assist with the production of programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans and contribute to financial forecasting, site measurements, reconciliations and cost control.

To fulfil this role, you should be qualified to HNC/Degree (Construction/Civil Engineering related) or a recognised equivalent.

Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of Site Engineering activities combined with construction supervision skills will also be necessary to successfully carry out the role.

So, if you possess the above skill set and are keen to learn and develop them more in one of the best organisations in its field, then please apply today, or for more information contact Gareth Clark on 020 7288 0166 or email
