A Temporary Accounts Payable clerk position has arisen due to long term sick cover and organic growth of the company. This role has the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.

The client is a successful independent school in Gloucestershire

Description

The key responsibilities of this role would include but not limited to:

  • Processing, sort and code invoices
  • Assisting with month end reports
  • Handle queries from external and internal stakeholders
  • Track expenses and process expense reports
  • Ad hoc reconciliation work
  • Post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records
  • Some admin work when required

Profile

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Knowledge of the accounts payable function
  • Proficient in date entry and management
  • Excellent Excel skills (including Pivot tables and Vlookups)
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of accounting software such as Sage and SAP
  • Excellent Organisational and time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail
