Maintenance Engineer (Days) - Newbury - Permanent - £35,000

This is an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to take on a new challenge with growing and ambitious manufacturing company in Newbury.

The Maintenance Engineer will effectively solve electrical & mechanical faults and provide planned preventative maintenance to ensure maximum availability of machinery. You'll take ownership of breakdowns, ensuring remedial action and future preventative measures are in place.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Planning and implementing the PPM schedule for all equipment
Arranging service and repair visits by outside companies as appropriate
Stopping any production process that is deemed to be dangerous
Fault finding and repairs to machinery
To be responsible for the installation of new equipment
Supervision of hourly paid staff working on production machinery as appropriate
Health and safety working practices are followed
Continuous improvement to increase machine performance

To be considered for this opportunity candidates will be apprentice trained and qualified to at least NVQ Level 3 standard along with 17th Edition certification. You'll need an understanding of PLC's and their function with the ability to fault find with PLC. Previous experience within a manufacturing environment such as Food, Consumer Goods, Pharmaceutical, Automotive or Medical Devices or Warehouse Automation Systems is key.

A salary of £35,000 is on offer working Monday to Friday 7.30-3.30pm (Flexible) Monday to Friday.
