Service Engineer - Calibration - Diagnostics - Electromechanical - Chemical Engineering - Scientific - Surrey - £30k + Benefits


This is a fantastic opportunity to join a surrey based scientific instrumentation business. As a service engineer you will be at the forefront of promoting the company's servicing and maintenance support services to new and existing clients. To be successful you will hold an engineering degree (mechanical, chemical, electromechanical) and possess commercial experience within a scientific, technical or engineering environment. You will also need to possess communication & customer service skills.


Service Engineer Responsibilities:

1.Promotion and sales of: service kits, calibration / verification equipment and materials to partners & customers.
2.Work closely with the service team to respond to technical questions.
3.Ensure the departments KPI's are met and ensure service logs are completed.
4.Visit customers to carry out servicing, calibration and repairs primarily in the UK and overseas on occasion.
5.Carry out in-house and external training.
6.Identify possible improvements in the service process and work closely with others to implement.
7.Creation of troubleshooting documents / videos for in-house and external use.
8.Keeping a high standard of housekeeping in the servicing are.
9.Ensure that all H&SE policies and the company ISO guidelines are adhered to during service, manufacture and assembly of instruments.


Service Engineer Skills, Qualifications and Requirements:

1.Hold an engineering based degree (Electromechanical, Chemical).
2.Ability to carry our hands on engineering duties including diagnosis and repair.
3.Skills and familiarity with electronics, electromechanical and software.
4.Previous experience would be beneficial from a customer facing, service role.
5.Excellent customer service and communication skills.
6.Ability to talk confidently over the phone to customers.
