SECTION ENGINEER - RAIL
“You will be a Section Engineer for a Principal Rail Contractor based in the Midlands working on a high-profile project.”
ATA currently have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Engineer to work for one of the most well-known Tier 1 Rail contractors based in the UK today. Approaching the end of Control Period 5 set by Network Rail, we are offering an initial contract for 6 months which could be extended based on the amount of work being won on a consistent basis by the contractor. If you are looking to work for a Rail Civil Engineering specialist that hold each member of staff working for them in the highest regard, this is the company for you.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting into the Project Manager, your role will be to take responsibility for Civil Engineering expertise on the site. As Section Engineer you will be responsible for work such as; offering assurance on quality and monitoring work done by others on site ready for final sign off, writing ITP’s, WPP’s and other site based paperwork.
Such is the nature of the work that you will require a HNC or HND in Civil Engineering but anyone that does have a degree in such discipline will make themselves extremely appealing to the contractor. You will need to understand Civils through and through and be able to offer technical advice and lead from the front with your knowledge.
If you have a valid PTS and previous experience as Senior or Section Engineer within Rail Civils, it is likely this role is going to be for you. Being based within a commutable distance of the M1 J24 then you will be in an ideal location for this role.
