Elevation Recruitment Group are proud to be working in exclusive partnership with Leap Multi Academy Trust in the recruitment of a Finance Manager to be responsible for the financial management of all academies across the Trust. You will ensure that the information provided to the Board of Trustees and other interested parties, is timely, relevant and accurate at all times.

You will be accountable to the CEO and EP and ensure they are fully briefed on all financial matters relating to two academies; Brinsworth and Dinnington.

Dinnington High School is an 11 to 18 academy specialising in Science and Engineering with the potential to become outstanding.

Brinsworth Academy is an 11 to 18 academy specialising in Science and is a Leadership Partner School. It has a highly successful Sixth Form and fast-improving results at KS4. The academy is imminently due to open a new £2.6 million Sports Block to supplement its current teaching blocks, many of which have experienced refurbishment in the last few years. Ofsted recently rated the school as 'Good' (March 2017).

Duties will include:-

-Produce medium term forecasts and re-forecasts for the Trust and its academies
-Assisting in the development and production of annual budgets
-Provide full production of Monthly Management Accounts for the academies along with related analysis, commentary and recommendations
-Provide cashflow projections and school forecasting and cashflow management
-Be responsible for the appropriate deployment of Trust finance staff and take part in their recruitment
-Manage, coach and develop colleagues in the Trust finance team
-Be responsible for the production of relevant financial reports and information
-Support the CEO & CFO in the production of the Trust's financial plan
-Be responsible for the effective management of financial administration procedures, including responsibility for compliance with the Academies Financial Handbook and the Trust's financial regulations.
-Preparation of monthly reconciliations including monthly bank reconciliation in an accurate and timely manner, reporting any errors to the CFO
-Prepare statutory accounts and associated mandatory reports for audit and filing with Companies House and the DfE, and provide relevant support for the Trustees' year-end report. Liaise with external auditors
-Provide oversight on all matters concerning statutory reporting, compliance and taxation, including VAT, NI/PAYE and CT
-Be responsible for the proper operation of the accounting and relevant financial planning systems.
-Develop and monitor financial management information and systems to support colleagues at all levels
-Orchestrate the management of the Trust's reserves for each academy, and the management of cash to maximize Trust income
-Determine the need for and arrange provision, analysis and evaluation of data to provide detailed reports/information
-Contribute to the production of the Trust's Risk Register, implementing relevant controls to monitor and record risk across the Trust
-Help to ensure the Trust provides value for money across all its activities
-Continue and review current systems and processes across the finance operation in order to streamline and adapt to best possible working practices.
-Contribute to the development and implementation of the overall ethos/work/aims of the Trust
-Develop constructive relationships and communicate with other agencies/professionals, including ESFA, HMRC, National Audit Office, etc
-To be familiar and comply with all relevant Health and Safety, Management of Risk, Operational, Personnel, Data Protection and Financial Regulations policies and procedures.

-This post may require deployment at, and therefore travel to, other academies within the Trust, as directed by the CFO/CEO/EP

To be considered for this role, Elevation are looking for people with the following skills and experiences:-

- Relevant experience in a senior management position within finance (Within education sector would be preferable)
- Proven success in management of and responsibility for other staff
- CIMA/ ACCA or ACA qualified (Degree background would be desirable also)
- Professional approach
- Highly organised
- Able to work to tight and multiple deadlines
- Flexibility and ability to deal with emergent issues
- Ability to work well on own initiative
- Ability to lead, manage and motivate others
- Excellent inter-personal skills both oral and in writing
- Ability to quickly assimilate new information
- Ability to analyse problems and propose workable solution
- Excellent ICT Skills (spreadsheets, particularly Excel including Pivot tables, V Look Ups and ideally Macros)
