Division overheads·Assist in the preparation of the Division overheads budget·Ensure all overheads costs are properly captured and allocated to Division departments·Prepare and record month-end overheads journal entries into CODA (accruals, recode journals)·In charge of the recharge codes to other departments or companies and raise the monthly recharge invoices ·Coordinate with Finance Department the administration of accounts (debtor and creditor accounts opening)·Prepare the monthly management accounts reports for the work-stream and provide analysis of overhead expenditure versus budget and divisional reserves and provisions·Monitor Capex expenditure versus budget·Preparation of monthly reporting to Colas Ltd and to Colas SA·Provide all information required by External and Internal Audits.
Temporarily be responsible for recording Uganda branch office overheads:·Implement clear accounting process with weekly cost reports from Uganda·Record overheads journals into CODA and responsible for monthly closing·Responsible for bank reconciliation, cash forecast and current account administration·Provide all information required by External and Internal Audits.Projects·Assist in the preparation of the annual budgets and 3 year plan for the work-stream results and regular year end re-forecasting·Support in the production of the monthly management accounts reports for the work-stream
Corporate Project Work·Support the Head of Finance – Strategic Projects in setting up new accounting and business processes within the work stream
·Qualified Accountant CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent
·Minimum 3 years post qualification experienceExperience·Preferred experience as a qualified accountant working within a construction / contracting environment·IT literate (Pack Office and J D Edwards or similar)·Ability to work and communicate with staff at all levels and departmentsColas is an equal opportunities employer.
