Engineering Consultant - Drug Delivery - Cambridgeshire

A medical devices firm based in rural Cambridgeshire are looking to expand their R&D division by bringing on board an experienced Engineering Consultant to lead state-of-the-art design of drug delivery devices.

This exciting new role will give the Engineering Consultant an excellent opportunity to work on cutting edge products at the forefront of the medical devices sector alongside some of the brightest minds in the field. This position will also encompass leadership within the team but will remain very much a hands-on role focused on the design and development of complex drug delivery devices both injectable and inhalation. The role will allow you flourish within a forward thinking environment and you will be given the freedom to manage your own projects and progress through the organisation.

We are looking for people who thrive solving real-world problems and who enjoy working on products aimed at saving and enhancing people's lives.

To be considered for the Engineering Consultant role you will need to have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or other closely related subjects as well as some experience within a highly regulated environment, such as; medical devices, oil and gas or defence. Although you will not be using CAD on a daily basis you will need to be proficient in either SolidWorks, Creo, ProE or Siemens NX. Any client-facing experience and CFD knowledge would be hugely advantageous.
