Site Engineering Manager / Chief Engineer
£53,000 - £60,000 pa + Bonus & Pension

About the role:
The Site Engineering Manager will be responsible for an engineering team that consists of 15 Personnel including a Deputy Engineering Manager, Engineering Team Leaders, Maintenance Engineers and Apprentices. Other typical duties will include:
  • Control of Maintenance & Labour Budgets in the region of £900K per annum
  • Develop, Implement and Consistently monitor an effective planned maintenance system
  • Upgrade the sites existing CMMS
  • Set Departmental KPI’s, defining both short-term and long-term objectives, and ensuring targets are communicated clearly throughout the team.
  • Attend daily, weekly and monthly management meetings to present engineering performances.
  • Inspire a culture of Engineering Excellence, where engineers are motivated by continuous improvement work and are encouraged to bring new ideas to the table.
  • Manage the successful delivery of multiple CAPEX Projects across production and site services.
  • Review the engineering team’s current skill sets and implement a training program that will advance these further.

The Person:
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience operating at Engineering Management level.
  • Previous experience working in a Food or similar FMCG Manufacturing environment
  • Good Engineering Budget management experience.
  • Able to demonstrate where they have made significant improvements to planned maintenance delivery.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Prior involvement in the development site CMMS.
  • Excellent Communicator.
