Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 to 5 (35 hours per week)
Salary: £24,000 - £25,000

My client is a leading and expanding insurance group who are renowned for their staff reward and recognition, and are in The Times Top 30 Big Companies to work for. They are currently recruiting for a Credit Control Administrator to join their busy Finance department.

Job Description
As a Credit Control Administrator, you will be responsible for the collection of monies from our client's portfolio of Fleet clients, along with all administration relating to the services offered.

You will minimise the credit risk to group through pro-active and efficient handling, and prompt highlighting of problem cases, whilst working within strict FCA regulatory guidelines.

Your role will include but not be limited to:

• Work within the parameters of the agreed business plan for Group Finance
• Work within agreed processes in order to deliver the business plan in line with the Group Finance Policy
• To reconcile Fleet Instalments and Fleet statements, carry out administration and utilisation of diaries and system driven reports.
• To attend a BACS training course to enable you to successfully request Direct Debit payments from clients three times a month.
• To deal with direct debit defaults and any other adhoc problems in a timely and efficient manner.
• Consider Credit Risk at all times and refer to Credit Control Team Leader any accounts considered a concern.
• Identification, investigation and resolution of Fleet queries. This will include the liaison with Fleet Underwriters.
• Identification of poor payment history and taking effective actions to ensure future compliance.

The Successful Applicant
• Credit Control experience desirable but not essential
• Experience in dealing with Direct Debits desirable but not essential
• Ability to problem solve and negotiate with Internal and External customers
• Excellent numerate skills and knowledge of Excel and Word
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
