What you\'ll be doing

Managing a small team of talented specialists, you'll be responsible for all things SEO. From setting the overarching long term SEO strategy which will enable the business to achieve its commercial objectives, to ensuring the team are well equipped to implement and optimise this, continually improving the search performance of the business as well as helping (with the wider senior management team) to set the broader product strategy in line with industry trends. On top of this you'll have full managerial ownership of this division within the business - from team leadership, to full P&L ownership, to reporting to Board level, using insight from your team to enable long term forecasting as well as business strategy - everything that you would expect from a senior manager role in an ambitious and successful business. You will have overall responsibility for ensuring that the business' approach to SEO as
part of performance marketing is as future proof as can be, and will be responsible for the long term strategic direction it takes. Although specifically responsible for SEO performance, this is a senior management role which will see you frequently collaborating with broader digital teams across paid search, performance marketing, social, BI and analytics.

What experience you\'ll need

The big things here is that you'll be used to operating at a senior level within a large scale organisation and have had final responsibility for the organic search performance of a business. You'll have experience working on enterprise level websites, ideally with multinational presence, in a competitve industry and being responsible for a positive ROI on a (very) significant annual search budget. From a 'time in service' perspective, we're looking to be open - but realisitcally it'll be a minimum of 6 years. You'll have team management skills as well as the complex and senior stakeholder management skills required to collaborate effectively. From a SEO perspective, the more technical the better - although you'll have a holistic appraoch to balancing on and off page SEO strategies. Ideally you'll have experience in informing digital product decisions as well as informing the UX and CRO of apps and
websites. Again, ideally, you'll bring solid experience within affiliate and performance marketing to compliment your SEO expertise. This is an entrepreneurial business with an exceptional track record - we're looking for like minded people here.

Depending on experience, we're able to look at a very significant basic salary here. This will be flexible to the right person and is sensitive, so will be discussed on a case by case basis.
