Senior Test Equipment Engineer

Senior Test Equipment Engineer: A well known Defence Sector Engineering organisation is currently looking for a Principal Test Equipment Engineer at their site in Edinburgh

Senior Test Equipment Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Test Candidate Data Pack analysis
  • Test Requirement Definition
  • Test Program Set (TPS) Hardware & Software Design
  • Generation of Engineering Sketches
  • Production of design documentation
  • Generation of supporting documentation
  • Integration & Commissioning of the resultant TPSs
  • On-the-job training in the use of a Diagnosys Pinpoint P2R Tester as a Diagnostic Tool for use by Operations staff.
  • Support to Operations in their usage of the Diagnosys Pinpoint P2R Tester.
  • Supervision & guidance of less experienced TPS Development Engineers.

Senior Test Equipment Engineer Requirements:

  • First or second degree (BSc, BEng, MEng, MSc, PhD, EngD) in Electronic Engineering (preferable) or related science (e.g. Physics) with interest in the development of software based test programs and design of associated hardware. Applicants with suitable equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • It is essential the successful candidate has skills in electronics compatible with their degree/experience.
  • Knowledge of TestStand, LabWindows CVI, Labview, C, C++ or C# is an advantage but not essential.
  • Experience of TPS Program development for digital & analogue test subjects is required.

Desirable:

  • TPS Design & Development on a Diagnosys Pinpoint P2R Tester utilising TestVue software.
  • The use of the LASAR modelling tool.
