The role of the Software Developer is to:

  • Develop solutions to support the integrity and security of the organisation’s e-commerce platform and associated web systems.
  • Provide estimates for projects and other software development work using industry standard project-management tools and methodologies.
  • Test newly developed software to ensure that internally developed solutions are bug free and meet approved standards for end users.
  • Respond to the organisation’s software needs in line with agreed performance requirements and code standards.
  • Develop digital solutions to serve the needs of the business and its stakeholders which reduce the risk of data breaches and attacks.
  • Deploy code updates and changes to configurations in line with standard protocols and best practice.
  • Help to maintain a WIKI of system documentation, coding procedures and processes.
  • Contribute to team-orientated projects and workstreams in an Agile environment.
What you need:

You will have knowledge of PHP, MySQL, XML, HTML, Javascript/jQuery/Ajax, RESTful API’s, Mercurial/Git, SASS/SCSS/CSS, Linux, Apache, Nginx, Vagrant, Docker, Automated testing, Laravel and Scrum.
