2nd Line Support Engineer - London - Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, MS Office 365, Networking, TCP/IP, Mac, VMware/Hyper-V/ VDI. I am looking for an enthusiastic On-Site Support Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, 2nd Line Support Engineer / IT Support Engineer / Desktop Support Engineer. The ideal candidate will be able to work under pressure, have excellent communication skills and telephone manner. They must have the ability to use initiative and work as part of a team to achieve results. My client, an Award Winning IT Solutions Company are looking for a lively and enthusiastic Support Engineer with a proactive "can do" attitude to work with excellent customer services skills.

  • Microsoft Desktop 7/10
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012 - Administering & Supporting
  • Office 365 - Administering & Supporting
  • Microsoft Exchange 2007/2010/2016 - Administering & Supporting
  • Networking Experience (Routers, Switches & Firewalls)
  • Network Administration & Data Backup Technologies
  • General Networking Support & DNS
  • Active Directory - Managing AD Group Policies
  • VMware/ Hyper-V/ VDI
  • Apple Mac / OS X / Mac OS Support WAN/LAN experience
  • Ensuring incidents and service requests are resolved or updated within the SLA's
  • Troubleshooting and resolving problems associated with software and hardware for both local and remote customer environments
  • Resolving server crashes and unplanned reboots
  • MCSA, MCP, ITIL or working towards MCSE


The main responsibility of this role is to provide 2nd line technical support within the Apple Macintosh and Microsoft operating & application arena along with essential general system administration tasks. The role is focused upon the day to day delivery of IT support services and site administration for the user community which needs to be completed in an effective manner with attention to detail and accuracy. The nature of the business requires a high level of technical knowledge, flexibility, common sense and initiative. Salary is £25,000 - £30,000 + Excellent Benefits.
