We are looking for a Certification Engineer to develop, evaluate and document the certification process of systems within a company based in Letchworth. You will also provide engineering assistance in the co-ordination and implementation of system development testing and evaluation and production transition of systems.


* Support of individuals and teams involved in design and development of all products and systems.
* Support appropriate engineering reviews and the engineering change process.
* Create / Review and submission of technical files / certification requirements of approval agencies.
* Support the implementation of product testing and test procedures, certification and approval for both internal and external facilities during all phases of product life cycle.
* Participate in PFMEA / DFMEA
* Liaise with customers, suppliers and corporate facilities - worldwide.
* Liaison between engineering and QA, and engineering and Sales / Customer support on all aspects of product certification


* Degree, HNC, HND, time served apprenticeship in engineering
* The ability to communicate certification requirements to individual team members and groups from different disciplines and areas of the business
* Writing reports and documentation
* Familiarity with Quality Management System standards such as BS EN ISO 9001 and BS EN ISO14001 EMS.
* Analysing and interpreting data, with recommendations
* Problem solving skills
* Understanding of Microsoft Office Packages including Excel, Word, Outlook
* Able to understand a wide range of engineering materials and processes
* Ability to communicate well and work as part of a team
* Self motivated and able to work under minimal supervision, carrying out a variety of tasks
* Flexibility and adaptability within a fast-paced product development environment
