EMEA Infrastructure Regional Lead

We are Hitachi Consulting (part of the global Hitachi group) and have an opportunity for Infrastructure Technical Lead to join our Cloud Solutions practice. You will work with third party clients providing support and consultancy using some of the latest technologies. The practice provide Functional, Technical, DBA and Infrastructure remote and on-site support to the global client base of Hitachi Consulting.
This is a player/ manager role working alongside the Delivery Leader, managing 10+ specialised distributed technical resources. The talented team deliver Infrastructure support and managed services on 24x7 basis for our Enterprise clients working to ITIL standards. Additionally there are projects that contribute to continuous improvement that need to be delivered and managed by this hire.
The role offers the challenge and variety of consulting but without extensive travel. You will have the opportunity to visit the clients you work with but will have control of your diary.
Working with the team across our global offices you will enjoy responsibility for providing technical guidance, leadership and mentoring. You will also contribute to appraisals and career development of our consultants.
We are a tier-one multiple award-winning Microsoft Gold Partner, our consultants combine first class technical with strong client management skills. Additionally you will be involved in the development of new IT solutions, maintenance of support documents and have the opportunity to be involved in exciting pre-sales activities, giving technical input to proposals and delivering presentations.
We will look for you to bring a background of leading a high performing technical team working across a range of technologies, principally Microsoft Windows, networking, storage and cloud / virtualization services. Hitachi Consulting are moving to automation, deploying solutions utilising a mixture of PowerShell/ JSON and other technologies. Experience around this would be a significant advantage.
Hitachi Consulting provide training around new technologies, so experience around all the above is not necessary.
Evidence of improving productivity, reducing backlogs and working in an environment with teams working across multiple clients and geographies is highly preferable. With direct client contact, you will be comfortable adapting to competing priorities based on client demands.
