Our client are looking for two R&D specialists, focusing on R&D Applications Appraisals on initial 12 month contracts. Reporting into the Senior Manager, you will be working with organisations who are interested in public grants for R&D, science, engineering and technology projects. You will be working with the bidders and processing through the applications for feasibility and whether to award the grants. The companies you will be dealing with are at the forefront of their field technically so this role will be technically challenging so need someone from a technical background to review.

Key duties will approve:
  • Working with the bidders to work through the applications
  • Appraising all applications through the R&D Process
  • Working to the diligence and approvals process
  • Meeting with the companies in the grant process
  • Working with a portfolio of companies, appraising their eligibility and supporting them under scheme rules

This is a very specialised role, so to be considered for this role you must have the following:
  • You will come from a Scientific or Engineering background, preferably with an education background such as PHD or Masters Degree in one of the above subjects
  • You will have experience working in the science or engineering backgrounds - preferably in R&D
  • Any experience in bids for R&D or R&D proposals would be an advantage
  • Stakeholder management experience

This role would suit someone educated in these disciplines who works in the technical side of Science or Engineering and is comfortable with R&D work.
