I am seeking a Deputy Manager for a Children’s Home in Birmingham for one of the UK’s leading providers of residential care placements and education for looked after young people. The service is a 3 Bedded Residential home for children with Behavioural, Emotional and Social difficulties.

Job Description

Supporting and deputising for the home's Registered Manager, the successful applicant will have had previous supervisory experience working with young people with challenging behaviour. They must have a relevant Level 3 Diploma and be willing to study for the Level 5 Diploma.

To provide comprehensive respite or longer term care for the young people placed at the home, including physical, social and emotional care. Assist and support the programmes designed to promote the emotional wellbeing and growth of the residents within the home.

You should be happy to work a shift rota system that includes working some weekends and bank holidays and have had a full driving licence for three years.

Job Specification

Level 3 diploma in children and young people or equivalent.

Be willing to undertake Level 5 Diploma in a specified time frame

Previous experience of working in a residential setting.

Must have experience of working with children.

Have had a full driving licence for three years.
