Technical Product ManagerBased in ManchesterPerm role
dunnhumby is searching for a talented Technical Product Manager to act as the Product Owner for science related API’s that enable clients and partners to access and embedded “dunnhumby intelligence” into their systems and processes. You will work collaboratively with the technical teams in creating a set of deliverable technical objectives that can be seamlessly integrated into our client and partner ecosystems. Responsibilities include:
Act the product owner:Create and own the product backlog in including ownership of backlogs for API’s at a high standard HATEOAS for example (if you have to Google this – please do not apply)Lead story creation and estimation sessionsWork with Senior Product Manager to prioritise the detailed product backlog working with technical teams to ensure releases are aligned to the strategic product roadmap.Document requirements: write user stories ensuring that conditions of acceptance are well defined and are created in accordance with Business Driven Development (BDD) criteria and best practice.Support Development: Discuss requirements with development providing business context, making feature and design trade-offs, performing test and release reviews – escalating where necessary to the Senior Product Manager.Roll out and trials: Managing the roll out of the product including client and partner briefings e.g. API updates, system and process changes, communications and specifications to all appropriate areas managing internal and external trials.Providing input to Senior Product Manager to build a clear RoadmapWork with the product support team to ensure that they have the relevant upskilling on the products and that high priority issues are resolved in a timely manner.A good level of autonomy desired, esp. to lead development teams to deliver the release backlog as agreed with Senior Product ManagerMonitor market dynamics, including:Understand the current issues and competitive landscape in the Retail and CPG industry. Identify opportunities and threats for dunnhumby for the products you are accountable for.Have direct dialogue with your target clients. Understand in depth their current issues and anticipated problems.Have awareness of the competitive landscape, through tracking competitors in the press, and reviewing their websites.Conduct analysis and planning, including: Work with project managers and technical teams to produce cost estimates for business cases.Interact with science to define future development optionsParticipate in commercial activity, including: Develop a good understanding of the business model and drivers as well as predicting and subsequently evaluating the impact of product changes.Skills sought:
Previous experience as a Technical Product Manager with strong knowledge of APIsRelease and Change Management
