Could you use your experience of building corporate partnerships to drive financial growth and positively impact the lives of some of the world’s poorest people?   Corporate Partnerships is an ambitious new team within ActionAid, created to establish collaborative working relationships with corporates, to help realise our broader mission.  The aim of the team is to develop long term, high level corporate support that helps to achieve strategic goals across fundraising, advocacy and brand/identity. This role presents an opportunity not only to do exciting work, but to help ActionAid UK as we deliver on our new strategy ‘Together with Women and Girls’. The role will work with the head of team to develop a new corporate partnerships strategy, focused on initiating, building and managing relationships with corporate partners in order to secure long term, substantial support.  You will help shape our strategic approach to corporate engagement to bring about transformational partnerships, spanning fundraising, advocacy and brand; and assist in the identification of corporate partnership opportunities, leading on the mapping of target sectors and companies. You will lead on the day-to-day account management of ActionAid UK’s fundraising partnerships with corporates; and cultivate a portfolio of corporate prospects, working closely with the Prospect Research Team to develop bespoke cultivation strategies. You will also support international corporate influencing and fundraising work in partnership with colleagues across the ActionAid federation. The Corporate Fundraising Specialist will commit to adopting a Digital First approach to fundraising, bringing creativity and innovation to this exciting new opportunity. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working with a fundraising team, ideally within corporate partnerships, with an understanding of how fundraising and advocacy inter-relate and can support each other to drive mutual achievement. You will have proven experience of successfully building rapport with individuals and companies to develop donor relationships, especially those at a senior level in the business world. With proven ability to articulate complex issues in a compelling and persuasive manner, you will be able to present a pitch with confidence, leading to significant funds being secured. You will have strong negotiating and influencing skills and the ability to ‘close the deal’. Entrepreneurial, innovative and ambitious, you will be target driven with experience of working collaboratively across departments to ensure maximum benefit from partnerships and internal buy in. Polished writing skills, with experience of adapting the style of writing for a range of different communications are also key requirements. Experience of working in other high value fundraising areas, such as major gifts, trusts and foundations is desirable.
