Director of Fundraising
The British Asian Trust is looking for an experienced Director of Fundraising to play a central role in driving the growth of this fast-moving and expanding organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with strong entrepreneurial and commercial skills who can help the organisation to operate more commercially and maximise the tremendous opportunities that exist. This is a pivotal time to be joining The British Asian Trust. Their turnover has increased from £1.8m to £6.8m in 18 months and as Director of Fundraising, you will take responsibility for maintaining this momentum. 2018 is a particularly exciting year to be part of the organisation as they celebrate their 10th anniversary. The British Asian Trust is planning a number of ambitious events including a flagship event at the Royal Albert Hall. If you can develop strategies that will grow income, inspire teams to work with commitment, build great relationships that will advance the cause, and roll up your sleeves to ensure promises are delivered, we would love you to consider applying for the position of Director of Fundraising at The British Asian Trust. In leading fundraising, you'll be responsible for developing new income streams, building new strategic relationships and developing new contacts with corporate partners, major donors, philanthropic supporters and the wider community of supporters. You will also be responsible for reviewing current income streams and developing new initiatives to capitalise on them. The team is keen to learn from your experience and put in the hard work necessary to sustain growth and impact. You'll have the freedom to put The British Asian Trust's knowledge, contacts, creativity and expertise to good use and will be fully supported by the Board of Trustees as you do so. This is a director level role and the organisation is looking for a leader who can also take a very hands-on approach to delivering projects. Within this dynamic and fast-changing environment, you must be capable of both developing high level strategies and implementing those activities on a ground level. To succeed, you'll also need to be tremendously ambitious for yourself and for the organisation.
