Junior Web Developer/ Front End Developer

Whitehall Resources are looking for a Junior Web Developer/ Front End Developer for an initial 6 month contract in Berkshire.

You will be responsible for:
- Design and development of code for high traffic web applications and services.
- Providing development support for delivered applications.
- Participate in Agile, multi-skill teams to deliver software.
- Work closely with team members from the project management and production disciplines.
- Performing quality and code reviews for others, including assisting in SEO, accessibility and security reviews.
- Support the testing, optimization and usability enhancements of UK Digital properties
- Establish effective relationships with Corp to ensure the UK subsidiary is key in driving forward enhanced functionality requests
- Maintain accurate, complete, up-to-date technical documentation for the Digital Marketing Platform and all related technologies on team wiki/SharePoint
- Ensure effective use of the correct tools to ensure all marketing activity is compliant with the clients security, data and privacy policies

Essential Skills/ Experience:
- Experience working on high visibility web applications and services, with strong front-end web development skills
- In-depth knowledge of web development technology: HTML, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery
- In-depth knowledge of software development tools, including Visual Studio, .NET Framework, ASP.NET (WebForms, MVC)
- Technical background required, including understanding of developing for the .NET framework
- Demonstrable application design experience
- Knowledge of web server infrastructure, IIS, DNS
- Knowledge in implementation of web analytics tools such as WebTrends, Omniture or Optimizely
- Depth knowledge of front end development -HTML/HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, XSLT
